NPbase-Infodirect is an entirely visual computationally complete programming "language", which has been designed to be used by anyone to create programs, queries or data mining sequences.

A visual programming environment is provided into which data sources can be introduced as icons that appear on the screen. These icons can be linked by 'drag and drop' operations to other icons that represent processing activities that are to be performed on the data.

In this way, users with no programming or technical background can write complex data processing programs quickly and easily but NPbase-Infodirects' full capabilities are better used by Power Users or Professional Analysts.

NPbase-Infodirect icon is the program. There is no code development requirement as no code is generated or created. Analysts can see their data as it flows through the diagram and they can get direct feedback from any changes that they make.

If users require an interface to their data using packages such as Brio, Business Objects or Crystal Reports, this can be enabled quite easily through the ODBC interface to NPbase-Infodirect.
