We understand large scale database development and traditional database architectures: RDBMS, Columnar and In-Memory databases. Clearly these technologies have their place, but our view is that they are all limited by a combination of cost, flexibility, scalability, usability and high maintenance factors. Dr Tom Longshaw joined us in 2007 as Director of Research & Development, to develop a new breed of database technology that allows business users to process and analyse 'big data' on commodity hardware.
